Construction at Scappoose Bay Marina Starting Sept. 16
We’re excited to announce that starting Monday, September 16, we will begin Phase 1 of the Marina Improvement Project – Upland Work. This project will bring several upgrades to Scappoose Bay Marina aimed at improving accessibility and enhancing your experience.
What’s Included in the Improvement Project:
- New Kayak Unloading and Staging Area: An additional area will be added to make unloading kayaks more convenient.
- Second Pay Station: A new pay station will be installed closer to the main parking area for easier access.
- Widened Sidewalks: Enhanced sidewalks will improve pedestrian movement and safety.
- More Parking: Increase the number of parking spaces to better accommodate demand.
- Additional ADA Parking and Access: Expanded ADA parking and improved access will be introduced to better serve all visitors.
These upgrades are designed to ease congestion, increase capacity, and enhance overall safety and accessibility at the marina. The project is funded by a $407,912 grant from the Oregon State Marine Board, with matching funds provided by the Port.
Construction Timeline:
Construction is expected to last 45-60 days, depending on weather conditions.
