Scappoose Airport

Scappoose Airport is Columbia County’s largest airport.  The airport uses the three-letter code "SPB" and is categorized as general aviation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Owned and operated by the Port of Columbia County, Scappoose Airport is a public use facility located within the city limits and urban growth boundary of the City of Scappoose.

Scappoose Airport covers 196 acres, sits at an elevation of 58 feet above mean sea level, and has a single 15/33 asphalt runway that measures 5,100 ft. by 100 ft. It is the second busiest non-towered general aviation airport in Oregon with 60,000 operations per year and provides “reliever” capabilities to Hillsboro and Portland International Airports.

A variety of light industrial properties are currently available for lease adjacent to Scappoose Airport, both inside and outside the airport fence. Private property owners adjacent to the airport can apply for a 30-year airport use permit that allows through-the-fence access to airport facilities and infrastructure. For more information about airport use permit applications email inquiries@portofcolumbiacounty.org.
